Just before the past few years, there are probably many restrictions for people to get special eyeglasses lenses they want, partly because of lack of new technology, for example, you may have the only options to wear thick and heavy “coke-bottle” lenses if you are suffered from some strong power prescription, but now, special high index lenses are available, they nearly have the same thickness and weight compared to ordinary plastic lenses while have a much stronger diopter!
